Software, gadgets and things I use...
Here you can find a list of stuff I use to build software.
Workstation
-
13” MacBook
Pro, M1 Max, 16GB RAM (2020) ↗
I use an Apple 13” MacBook Pro. It's perfect and I never hear the fans, even under heavy loads!
Development tools
-
PhpStorm ↗
My favourite IDE. I mostly write PHP code so this is a no-brainer choice for me. -
Laravel Idea ↗
A paying plugin for PhpStorm focusing on Laravel. I highly recommend it if you work with Laravel.
Productivity
-
Raycast ↗
Application launcher on steroid! It's super-fast and I love its extendability. -
Warp ↗
The best terminal I ever used! It uses AI to help you remember your most used commands and it has more gems! -
TablePlus ↗
My first choice for database management. -
Httpie ↗
Need to work with APIs? This tool is sooo good, just like a pie.
This website
Last but not least, this is what I used to build this website.
Spoiler alert: it's only HTML and CSS, that's it!

Pico.css ↗
I fell in love with this project as soon as I saw it! The web is full of fancy websites with lots of custom fonts, images, animations and so on. But I'm a radical thinker and I wanted a minimal website for myself. That translates into a snappier page load and less bandwidth used. This is a win-win for the final user and for the planet! -
Netlify ↗
I usually use AWS serverless (Laravel Vapor) for my Laravel side projects. But, since this website is based on static pages, Netlify is what I went for in this case. -
Fathom Analytics
↗
I care about privacy and Fathom analytics helps me collect only the metrics I need without installing any cookie!
Psst, in case you haven't noticed, this website doesn't use cookies at all! -
Website
Carbon Calculator ↗
We (developers) are responsible for the impact websites have on our planet. With mindful choices we can produce more sustainable products. Do we need images? Do we need tons of third-party scripts? Do we need custom fonts? Those are just a bunch of questions we can ask ourselves while we build a website. I personally prefer a minimalistic approach!
